Aerial Apparatus at our Coventry Studio
Aerial Hoop (Lyra) – a large steel hoop suspended from the ceiling, providing the perfect frame for elegant poses, dynamic movements and stunning spins.
Aerial Silks – two lengths of fabric suspended from the ceiling, perfect for climbing and wrapping to create beautiful shapes and crowd-pleasing drops.
Static Trapeze (Fixed Trapeze) – a horizontal bar suspended by two ropes from the ceiling, perfect for creating static shapes and fluid transitions and routines.
Aerial Rope (Corde Lisse) – a soft cotton rope suspended from the ceiling, great for performing wraps, drops, spins and daring, challenging poses.
Aerial Hammock (Aerial slings) – a large loop of silks suspended from the ceiling, allowing for fluid movements and impressive tricks, whilst providing more support than equipment such as aerial silks or rope.
Unique Aerial Shapes – at Rebel Manifesto Aerial we also have a range of more unique aerial equipment including Heart-shaped Hoop, Square Hoop, Spiral, Teardrop Hoop and Mini Hoop!
FAQ
What should I wear for aerial classes?
Wear comfy, stretchy clothing that won’t restrict your movement (think leggings, tracksuit bottoms, t-shirts, tank tops etc.). Make sure that your legs especially are covered to avoid friction burns from the equipment. Jewellery and watches should be removed, and long hair tied back.
Is there an age limit?
Aerial is for everyone no matter what age you are. At Rebel Manifesto Aerial we currently have classes for ages 4-7 years (Rebel Minis), 8-16 years (Rebel Youth) and everything above (Adult classes). There is no right or wrong age to take up aerial, we have students who started aerial as soon as they could walk, and students who didn’t start until their 30s, 40s and 50s.
What if I’m a complete beginner?
We all have to start somewhere and at Rebel Manifesto Aerial we all know what it was like to try something so different for the first time. We have beginner adult aerial classes every week and our classes are always non-competitive and supportive. Our excellent teachers will demonstrate all moves and be there to support you every step of the way. If you are particularly nervous about going straight in to a group class then we’ve found some students prefer to book a private 1-1 session to go over some basics and get a feel for aerial first.
